BATTLE OF BIBRACTE
The second major battle of the Gallic
Wars sees six Roman legions commanded by Caesar defeat a numerically superior confederation force of Helvetii tribesmen. Bibracte is a long, bloody battle with Caesar writing that the Helvetii suffer heavy (if disputed) casualties.
