A factory riveter at work on an A-31 Vengeance, Vulteenashville, Tennessee. The iconic ‘We Can Do It!’ poster, designed by J Howard Miller for the Westinghouse Electric & Manufacturing Company, was perhaps one of the most famous images associated with the ‘Rosie the Riveter’ character, symbolising women’s home-front contribution to the American war effort.
