BOSNIAN WAR

NATO forces initially enforce UN sanctions on former Yugoslavia via naval blockades, the first codenamed Operation Maritime Monitor, then through a no-fly zone of Bosnia and Herzegovin­a. NATO troops are deployed on the ground to oversee the Dayton Agreement peace treaty that ends the war.
