Au­di­ences at a Utah drive-in cin­ema watch 1956 bib­li­cal epic The Ten Com­mand­ments. Drive-ins were beloved in fifties and six­ties Amer­ica, giv­ing peo­ple the chance to catch a film on a big screen from the com­fort of their cars. They gained an im­moral rep­u­ta­tion, as teenage cou­ples found drive-ins to be ideal places to spend some time alone, but the rise of the VCR and the surg­ing cost of fuel saw their pop­u­lar­ity de­cline in the seven­ties.
