Tony Boyle, Relationships Manager, AICO
Tony is graded to technician electrician status and a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology. He has gained a wealth of knowledge & experience within the electrical & electronic manufacturing sectors spanning over a 13-year period and is now in a national role developing strategic partnerships to facilitate positive change within the social housing sector.
Patrick Harvie MSP
Patrick was elected as an MSP for the Glasgow region in 2003, served as convener of the Transport, Infrastructure and Climate Change Committee during session three, and as co-leader of the Scottish Green Party since 2008. He was appointed Minister for Zero Carbon Buildings, Active Travel and Tenants’ Rights in August 2021.
Miles Briggs MSP
Miles elected to the Scottish Parliament as a member for Lothian Region in May 2016. Miles is the Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Social Justice, Housing and Local Government. He was previously Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Health & Sport, and Chief Whip. He is co-convener of the parliament’s Cross Party Group on Cancer and deputy convener of the Cross Party Group on Chronic Pain. He is actively involved in several other Cross Party Groups.
Molly Shevlin, PRS Tenant
Molly is originally from Leeds but has lived in Scotland since 2010. I have over a decade of experience living as a tenant in the private rental sector and in my spare time I help tenants who are having issues with landlords and letting agencies. I’m passionate about housing justice and the glaring need for change in the way that housing works in Scotland and the UK generally.
Jean Charsley, Homeowner
Jean is a retired academic. She is currently the secretary of Hillhead Community Council and is co-chair of the TIS Tenants Commission. In the past, Jean was the chair of Glasgow City Council Factoring Commission and a former member of Planning Democracy.
Jake Mace, PRS Tenant
Jake is a third-year Philosophy and Politics student at the University of Dundee originally from Hampshire. In his time at the university, he has volunteered with and now serves as the general secretary for my student tenants’ union. His work mostly focuses on member defence and using direct action campaign methods to support students facing eviction or unfair treatment.
Paul Mclennan MSP
Paul was elected as the MSP for East Lothian in 2021 following several terms as a councillor in East Lothian. Prior to his election he spent 20 years in the banking sector, five years in the development sector, and worked in sport with time spent coaching the Scottish Youth Football Association National Under 16 squad.
Tina Mistry, Relationships Manager, AICO
Tina has been at Aico for six years and supported the housing sector technically in a specification capacity and currently is forming strategic collaborative relationships across all four nations to create safer, healthier homes and communities.
Sanne Dijkstra-downie, Lib Dem
Sanne is the net zero spokesperson for the Scottish Liberal Democrats. She works as a fundraiser for climate research and teaching at the University of Edinburgh, where she helped to set up an Ocean Leadership programme. Sanne lives in North Edinburgh with her husband and two young children. She is passionate about environmental issues and low-carbon travel, and advocates for safer paths and better care for local green spaces in her community. She is currently the Lib Dem Council candidate for the Forth Ward.
Anne Rocks, Local Authority Tenant
Anne is chair of a local Fife Tenants and Residents Association; chair of the Fife Tenant Led Scrutiny Panel; and treasurer of the Fife Federation of Tenants and Residents Associations.
