How to make the plate
1 Using the template on pages 128-129, copy the bunting design onto a sheet of tracing paper.
2 Turn the tracing paper over, place it into position on the plate attach it with a little Sellotape so that it doesn’t move around while you’re tracing. After firmly tracing over the lines, you can remove the template.
3 Draw over the pencil lines on the plate using a black ceramic pen. When finished, leave the ink to dry.
4 Using colourful ceramic pens, fill in the flags with patterns. Leave to dry.
5 Follow the instructions on your ceramic pens and bake in the oven to set your bunting design.
