You don’t need a garden these days to enjoy some lovely horticultu­ral surroundin­gs. Balconies, terraces, porches – they can all be transforme­d with this bright and easy-to-do upcycled toolbox planter. If you don’t have an old toolbox lurking in the garage or under the stairs there are loads online that you can pick up for just a few pounds, and plenty of bargains to be had at garden centres, so scour everywhere to keep costs low. Just go for bright arrangemen­ts of blooms and don’t worry if the toolbox is very battered – it adds a bit of character!
