It’s so important to take time to make decisions and not let yourself feel rushed. This house took 10 years and it’s taken that time to get everything the way we want it.

Sticking up my design ideas so I could see them every day gave me a chance to take them in and really live with my plans before I committed to any decisions.

Trust your instinct when it comes to your style. Interior trends come and go, so really knowing what you like is important, otherwise you can end up decorating again and again.

It can be tempting to want to have everything finished quickly and panic buy, but that can lead to costly mistakes. If you take your time at the beginning, you’ll get it exactly as you want.
