It’s stressful living in a home during renovations; there’s masses of dust, you lose useable space and can end up without appliances for ages. It’s important to think about how you will deal with the practicalities before work begins.

Think through how you want to use your home. If it needs changing, then do it to suit your own needs. If a beautiful kitchen isn’t working, changing it will make life easier and you’ll love it more in the long run.

We heard many off-putting stories about bad tradespeople, so we made sure the ones we used were personally recommended by people we knew and trusted.
