Spencer 's bedroom

‘Spencer’s nursery was my first project as I had to have it ready for when he was born. Although I’d decided to run with the neutral palette right through the house, I felt it was important to have colour in here. I knew I was having a boy, and I picked out a grey-blue shade for some colour-blocking on the walls. I’d seen the teepee shape on Instagram. It was quite easy to do: I used string and a tack to make the initial shape, and then masking tape to get the lines really sharp. I painted halfway up the other wall, then drew around a microwave lid to make the scallop shapes.

I’m pleased with the results, and I think this room will be easy to adapt as Spencer gets bigger, so it should last him a few years.’
