‘Decorating is my full-on addiction, it’s so rewarding’

‘I wanted to create a burlesque feel in here with a dark, romantic vibe, so I painted the walls in Deep Aubergine by Dulux. I kept the ceiling white to stop the room from feeling claustrophobic. I went to a house clearance where I bought a lot of furniture, including this bed, for only £150, and as soon as I painted it gold it gave the room the wow factor it needed. The light above the bed doesn’t actually work but I attached the feathers to it to create a statement piece.’

‘I painted the radiator cover using an eyebrow brush to get into the holes and then customised the wardrobes with some spare leopard-print vinyl, which mirrors the bedside tables, lamp and throw. Many of my upcycles are small, simply to personalise my home and bring a look together’
