A BIT ABOUT ME

I’m Helen, 56. I have two daughters and one granddaughter. My youngest, Casey, 22, still lives at home with me. I work as a freelance artist in the greeting card industry and I have an Etsy shop, designedbymehelenp, where I sell my own prints. I also work part-time in the café at my local garden centre.

WHERE I LIVE

We live in a two-bedroom Victorian terraced house in Chorley, Lancashire, which I bought in 2015. I share interior updates on my Instagram, @my_tiny_terraced.

WHAT I WANTED TO CHANGE

The previous owner was an elderly lady who had sadly passed away and although the house was clean, everything needed to be updated.

HOW I MADE IT MY OWN

I’m very creative and I also like to be a little bit different so adding handpainted murals and customising furniture helped me to make my house my own.

MY FAVOURITE PART

It has to be my hand-drawn mandalainspired mural going all the way up my stair wall. It was the first mural I did in my home so, for that reason, I’ll probably never paint over it.
