15 SPRUCE UP THE DECKING
A winter of wet weather can easily cause decking to rot and become unsafe, so while it’s still dry, prepare your deck for the months ahead. Begin by using a decking brush, or pressure washer on a low setting, to remove any grime or algae that’s built up over summer. Then, once clean and dry, apply a coat of decking paint, oil or wood preservative to protect it from the elements.
