Spare bedroom

-

The first mural that Alice painted was the one in the spare bedroom, which was inspired by a cushion. ‘ The hardest part was planning out how to repeat the pattern as the cushion didn’t have much of a recurring design. Once I had that planned out, I drew the shapes using a pencil, a spirit level and string, which I used as a compass for the circles. I love how the mural provides a colourful backdrop for guests.’

?? ?? ‘ We decided to go for a sofabed in the spare room to save on floor space when the room isn’t being used by guests,’ says Alice, who chose this sofabed from MADE.com. I really wanted a retro pastel pink locker to store everything in, but they are expensive new, so I found a very rusty grey locker from Facebook Marketplace for £20. I sanded it down, primed and painted it with wood and metal paint’
