‘Before last Christmas, I was hot desking around the house, which was really bad for my back. I’d bought my desk, from La Redoute, during the first lockdown but didn’t really use it as we hadn’t decorated in here, and I have to like a space to want to be in it. So, I finally decided to sort the room out. We’d already stripped off the horrible magnolia and red wallpaper and ripped up the bright green carpet, discoverin­g the gorgeous wooden flooring. Then I decided to repaper the wall with this Banana Leaf print from I Love Wallpaper. It’s amazing how much impact wallpaper can have. It’s really brightened up the space and introduced some lovely pattern to boring white walls.’

I stitched the embroidere­d hoops myself’ ‘ We only have two bedrooms, and since I use this one as my office, this daybed, from IKEA, is a good compromise. I customised the lampshade, from HomeSense, by adding the feathers’
