WHAT I LEARNED...

We learned so many new skills, such as fitting skirting boards, tiling and even installing the kitchen. It’s amazing what you can learn from YouTube videos. Now when we get our forever home, we’ll have so much more DIY confidence.

It’s worth spending more on the key features in each room, such as tiles and lighting, but saving money by finding accessories in charity shops. For instance, the patterned floor tiles in the kitchen were quite pricey but we just made a feature of them in a smaller area.
