It takes time to create a home. Not many people have all the money to do everything at once, but that’s okay. A house is a long-term investment so there’s no hurry.

Sometimes practicalities and what works best for our family are more important than the décor. A quality shower was essential, so I had to work around that and be savvy with my bathroom shopping.

It’s actually not that hard to be really creative on a budget. A piece of furniture left out on the street and a £3 tester pot is all you really need.
