You will need

● 1m of unvarnished wood ● Sandpaper ● Dry cloth ● Wood stain ● Paintbrushes ● Pencil ● White and grey paint ● Stars and numbers stencils ● Cup ● Ruler or tape measure ● Black marker pen

1Sand down any rough edges on the length of wood. Dust with a cloth, and apply wood stain with a brush. Allow to dry.

2Next, draw mountain shapes with snowcaps on the bottom half of the length of wood. Draw around a cup at the top to create a moon, and use a stencil to add some different-sized stars. 3Paint the mountains in different shades of grey, and add white snowcaps.

Paint the moon and stars in white. Leave to dry.

4Using a ruler and black marker pen, add the markers at 2.5cm intervals and then write the numbers every 30cm using the stencil.
