HOW TO TIE THE WRAP
YOU WILL NEED
• Furoshiki-style wrapping cloth (cotton, nylon and silk all work well) large enough to fit your gift
1 Place your gift in the centre of the wrap on a diagonal, as shown.
2 Tie a single knot in the bottom right and then top left corners of the wrap.
3 Flip both knots so that they sit inside the wrap, as shown.
4 Tie the remaining corners together with a single knot.
5 Follow steps A-D below to tie a reef knot in the ends of the wrap to make a handle.
TOP TIP
To help your wrap hold its shape, place a piece of cardboard under soft, squashy gifts.
HOW TO TIE A REEF KNOT
A Take the right-hand corner (blue) and place it over the left-hand corner (pink).
B Tie a knot by taking the righthand corner (blue) under the left-hand corner (pink). C Notice that the corners have now switched sides. Take the now left-hand corner (blue) and place it over the right-hand corner (pink). D Tie a second knot by taking the now left-hand corner (blue) under the right-hand corner (pink).
TOP TIP
Old clothes can also be repurposed into wraps – shirts, t-shirts and cotton items are ideal.
