HOW TO WORK THIS LOOK
l October Mist is a gentle shade of green that can change the atmosphere of a space without overpowering it. It’s a great base colour that really brings the outdoors in.
l Pick up patterns that remind you of the countryside in winter and early spring. Look out for seed heads, delicate line drawings of trees and woodland creatures. Keep these on a fairly small scale and use them as an accent so that they don’t dominate the space.
l Contrast naturalistic patterns with some sharp geometry; this will help to keep the scheme feeling modern. Consider creating faux panelling or simply add in some straight lines with neatly woven cane.
l Throw on a little plaid, this timeless pattern instantly suggests the great outdoors and is super cosy for the colder months.
