Welcome TO MY HOME
A BIT ABOUT ME
I’m Abigail Beddow, a paediatric nurse. I live with my husband, Oliver, who works for the AA, and our two girls, Arabella, six, and Alaiyah, who is eight months old.
WHERE I LIVE
Our home is a 1970s three-bedroom terrace in Romford, East London. We bought it in March 2018, and I like to share our renovation journey on Instagram @thebeddowspace.
WHAT I WANTED TO CHANGE
Thankfully we didn’t need to contend with any building work, but every room was painted in really bright colours. Although I like a room to make a statement, this was too much for me as I like a more sophisticated look.
HOW I MADE IT MY OWN
After painting the whole house white, I worked my way around the rooms, one at a time, adding traditional panelling and Scandi neutrals. I finished off the look with sumptuous furniture and glamorous touches to create a home that reflects my own style.
MY FAVOURITE PART
I love the bold look of the dining area with the panelled wall. I was scared to be too daring but it’s given me the confidence to be more adventurous.
