SNUGGLE DOWN

-

Duvets come with a ‘tog’ rating, ranging from 1 to 4.5-tog for cooler options, to extra-warm 15-tog duvets. This tells you how good your duvet is at trapping air and providing warmth. The choice between natural or synthetic fibre duvets is a matter of taste and budget, but if allergies are an issue, try a synthetic filling. Generally thought of as more luxurious, the natural fillings of down or feather duvets tend to feel warmer and heavier than synthetic duvets of the same thickness. Wool duvets are cosy, light, and a good all-rounder when it comes to temperature – they don’t usually have a tog rating because wool helps to regulate your body temperature. The size of your bed will dictate the size of your duvet, but if you like extra coverage, consider buying the next size up.
