DREAM IN COLOUR

-

Are your walls keeping you awake? Colour psychology explores how different shades correlate with our emotions, and a recent study showed the colours in your bedroom can impact on the length and quality of your sleep. Blue, yellow and green are the shades shown to induce the longest sleep – averaging about 7 hours 52 minutes. These cool hues can lower your blood pressure and heart rate, which can make you feel more relaxed and calm. Sleep expert Patrick Ross, from mattress and bedding company Nectar Sleep, suggests avoiding bold colours, such as red or brown because they can stimulate and excite you – exactly what you want to avoid at night.
