Dining room

-

‘I remember how excited I was when I first saw the dining room. The two-tone effect on the walls has evolved. At first there was a lot more of the white, and less deep blue (Farrow & Ball’s Stiffkey Blue). It didn’t have enough impact, so I extended the blue up the wall, and I love it now. It’s playful and lets me use a dark colour without over-committing. The bay window is one of my favourite features. I knew it would be the perfect place for a window seat and I couldn’t wait for Mark to start building. He also made the bookcases on either side of the window, which are great, as they make the alcove deeper, so the window seat is really comfortable to sit on.’
