HOW TO WORK THIS LOOK

l Start building your look by creating a palette of fresh pastel tones, then give it a modern twist by adding a punchy accent colour – like we have with Annie Sloan’s Capri Pink. You may want to try sage green with an orange accent, or soft lilac with a pop of cobalt blue.

l Add in floral patterns that create a sense of movement, just like a breeze across a real meadow. You’ll be able to spot these patterns by looking out for designs with flowing lines that point in lots of different directions. Add some home-spun charm by choosing styles that have been delicately hand-drawn or painted.

l Pair these fluid patterns with straight lines to ground the overall effect. Try out parquet-effect flooring, classic ticking stripes or uniform metro tiles. Stick to real (or natural-look) wood and matt finishes to create a warm and tactile atmosphere.
