You will need

Round paper shade

White feather boas

Scissors

Glue

1Assemble the paper shade following the manufacturer’s instructions. Then, cut the knotted ends off each feather boa with your scissors.

2Apply some glue around the middle of the paper shade, and then take the first feather boa and wrap it around, sticking it to the glue as you go.

Cut off any excess feather boa and set aside.

3Apply another band of glue around the shade, a couple of inches above the first, and stick another feather boa in place, again cutting off the excess when fully wrapped.

4Repeat the process, until the whole shade is covered with feathers.

Use the excess bits you cut off for the top and bottom where the circumference is smaller. Leave to dry thoroughly before hanging on a light fitting.
