A BIT ABOUT ME

I’m Dami Adewole, a business manager. I live with my husband, Ade, an accountant and business analyst, and our eight-year-old daughter, Tami. You can see more of my home on Instagram @dolasjournal.

WHERE I LIVE

My home is a four-bedroom new-build terrace in Swindon, Wiltshire. We moved here in December 2018.

WHAT I WANTED TO CHANGE

We bought off-plan so the house was brand new. I’d asked for the whole space to be painted in pure white because I’d already bought some striking pieces of furniture that I knew would really steal the show.

HOW I MADE IT MY OWN

I wanted our home to feel timeless and simple, but I also love colour, so I chose one bold statement piece of furniture for each room, and then added simple touches, like customising the kitchen units with copper handles, adding panelling to the bedrooms and lots of luxe accessories.

MY FAVOURITE PART

I love the hallway now that we’ve added the panelling. It completely changed the look from a stark white corridor to a warm space that welcomes people in.
