HOW TO... Get organised

It doesn’t have to be a massive job; start small and make gradual gains

-

Use a storage tray to sort your cutlery into separate compartments. If you like matching sets, recyle any odd ones that have been kept along the way.

Clear storage jars look stylish but they are also functional as they can be stacked on top of each other, saving space, but the contents are visible at a glance.

Follow the rule of three: keep, throw, donate. And be brutal; if you haven’t worn that top for over a year, donate it to charity and let someone else enjoy it. Get rid of anything that is broken and recycle your stash of magazines; you can always tear out the recipes or ideas you like and keep them in one small folder.

Be clever with your storage solutions. Use coffee tables with shelves underneath to store books and choose ottomans or hallway benches with lids to double as extra seating and hide shoes and boots.
