WHAT I LEARNED...

-

Have the confidence to use colour. When we first moved in, I was at that stage of my life with work and parenting that painting everything white was the easy option. It’s only as my children have got older that I’ve started to experiment and become more confident.

Buy cheap, buy twice. I chose a cheap stair carpet, thinking it would be okay, but it’s really started to show now so I wish I’d gone for better quality rather than the cheapest option.

Don’t be afraid to experiment. It might be a pain if you’ve painted or wallpapered a room and you end up not liking it, but at the end of the day, you can always just go over it.
