WHAT I LEARNED...

If you’re anything like me and you change your mind a lot, stick to whites. I would go for more neutral base tones at first, and introduce your colour in items that can be easily switched out.

Create moodboards on Pinterest and using Photoshop. I found it helped to visualise how a finished room will look in terms of seeing what colours complement each other.

Stock up on cleaning products. With a white house like this, and two kids, plus a dog in tow, I’ve learned to clean as we go before the mess dries in. I’ve also realised how valuable a cordless vacuum is!
