‘We wanted a big comfy sofa that could fit everyone. I saw a green velvet one that I loved in DFS and that really decided the colour scheme, although we then spent ages choosing the right green for the walls. In the end we decided to go dark with Duck Green by Farrow & Ball. I spent lots of time selecting the personal pieces for the room and created a mini gallery. I’ve also got an old Parker Knoll chair from my grandparents that I’ve reupholstered and a rug from my brother’s company, Roxy Rugs. They all mean something.’
