WHAT I LEARNED...
Go for a neutral design with a timeless feel when choosing permanent fixtures, such as a kitchen or flooring. You can add more trend-based items using accessories and paint, which are easier and cheaper to change over time.
Shop around to get a better deal. I bought all the fittings in the bathroom from separate places as it was a cheaper way to do it than buying everything from one company.
Take your time and don’t get stressed about how much progress you’re making. Owning a home is generally a long-term investment so enjoy the process and don’t rush to get everything finished.
