Decorate with pink

Whether you want to go bold and bright or subtle and sophisticated…

-

For a more modern look, try pairing pink with black and white, graphic and geometric prints.

Pink works beautifully as a base colour to go with berry shades, such as cranberry, damson or mulberry. A dusky pink will add freshness to these deeper, darker colours.

If you’re looking for something to really stand out, team a lighter pink with a colour that’s at the other end of the spectrum. Pink and green or a bright blue, for example, always work well together, as do pink and yellow, especially a mustard shade. These dominant accent colours will stand out, while a light pink will provide a serene background.

Hot pinks and deep magentas are ideal when teamed with contrasting accents of slate grey.

For a cocooning effect, try painting your ceiling in pink, as well as your walls. Going for an all-over look creates a seamless finish, especially if you take the colour onto skirting boards and floating shelves.
