Don’t be afraid to have a go. There isn’t much that YouTube doesn’t have a tutorial on. You can always get the profession­als in if it goes really wrong.

Give yourself a break when you feel ‘reno fatigue’ kicking in. If budget allows, go for dinner or drinks to get away from the renovation­s for a while. When you can’t seem to make a decision anymore, it’s time to step away.
