Kickstarted by their joint passions for design, architecture and decorative antiques, sisters Emily and Victoria started online vintage shop Ceraudo back in 2016. Initially a sideline to their day jobs, the store is now a full-time venture that provides shoppers with a go-to website for everything from covetable furniture and lighting, to quirky accessories, such as cocktail sets, glasses and tableware.
What inspires you?
Our childhood home was filled with eclectic style, and our mother liked to push the boundaries by mixing eras and playing with colours. Our house had everything from a Plain English kitchen, to an art deco bathroom. As we grew up, we both became frustrated by the lack of interesting interiors products available at a mid-range price point, so we opened Ceraudo in 2016 alongside our daily jobs.
What will we find?
Anything decorative! We’re quite
broad with what we source as we like to encourage our customers to play around with their interiors and buy pieces that reflect their own tastes. We try to find pieces that are usable in any space, but can immediately add a bit of personality. We especially love hunting down antique chairs, drinks trolleys and wall hangings.
What’s the range of prices?
We try to be as accessible as possible, which can be tricky with antiques. A newly upholstered occasional chair starts from £350 and small accessories from £20.
What’s your favourite item for sale?
Probably our vintage faux-bamboo brass floor lamp. We’ve always loved bamboo-style furniture, and this piece ticks all of the boxes! We also love the Imari plates, which we try to keep a constant supply of. To see more exciting antique and vintage pieces, visit ceraudo.com
