This sassy 1950 chair was one of the highlights of the Thinking Italian Design sale and had a special provenance. ‘ It encapsulates the genius and originality of Carlo Mollino (1905-1973) and is one of the most important 20th- century Italian furniture designs,’ says Christie’s specialist Jeremy Morrison.
