WHO SUPPLIES TEXTILES PRINTED WITH SUMMER FLOWERS?

- RS, Stockbridge, Hampshire.

I’d like to cover a bedroom chair in a floral print to enjoy all year round. I’m thinking hollyhocks and foxgloves more than roses. Are there any designs like this available now? Designed in 1937, Hollyhocks (top) is so summery you almost want to pick the flowers and put them in a vase. It’s now printed on viscose/ linen in four colourways, £64m, Sanderson, 020 3457 5862, stylelibrary.com /sanderson. Jessica (middle) is also available in four colourways on linen and is a gentle evocation of summer with its finely drawn flower trail including fuchsia and agapanthus, £79m, Colefax and Fowler, colefax.

com. New at Jean Monro, 020 7259 7280, jeanmonro.com, is Lustmore (bottom), a painterly take on foxgloves available in three colourways on linen, £114m, and then there’s Hollyhock, an exuberant large-scale hand-block print on linen in one colourway, £372m. Maud, another pretty option, has sprays of foxgloves adapted from a vintage textile recalling summer days, on linen in one colourway, £63m, Odd, 01993 830674, oddlimited.com.
