Tell us about the lodge?
Middleton Lodge is a privately-owned estate set on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. Since 2006, we [owners James and Rebecca Allison] have lovingly restored the Georgian estate, which is now home to an award-winning hotel and treatment rooms, two restaurants and event spaces for private gatherings. The two-acre walled garden was redesigned by
Tom Stuart-smith, and the seasonal produce grown here is used in the busy kitchens – and elements of its design are woven into each individual bedroom. Creating a sustainable estate is very important to us, which is evident in the implementation of biomass boilers, the ‘estate to plate’ ethos in the kitchens with low food mile menus, electric kitchens and car charging units, and the recently installed biodigester. Middleton Lodge is an authentic country retreat, a place to eat, gather and pause.
Can you describe your Instagram account?

@ffern.co perfume house, they tie everything into the ebb and flow of the seasons, it’s so inspiring.
For branding inspiration, the content shared by @thebrand_stylist is wonderful; @starkeyslane for their beautiful botanical illustrations; and we recently came across @fenellainteriordesign who are local to the estate – they create beautiful bespoke lampshades.
