...PATIENCE
BILL LEVETT’S intermediate section F winner, Piltown Colours, finished on his 25.7 dressage. But the eight-year-old, whom Bill and his wife Jenny bought from Monart sale in Ireland three years ago, has needed time to start to come into his own.
“He has a nice jump but is very spooky. Historically that has meant he has lost his shape over a fence because he’s too busy looking at things,” explained Bill. “He’s so nervous and has taken time to relax — we’ve had to be very patient with him. But he’s already jumped around a tough CIC3* track at Hartpury so we know we have a horse with whom we can go to at least CCI3*.”
Bill will next head to Aldon CIC2* with this striking coloured horse, who is now owned by long-term supporters Carol Good and Veronica Wootten.
