YOUNGSTER RETURNS FROM BROKEN ANKLE
TWELVE-YEAROLD Anna Price finished fourth in the BE100open at Weston Park (2) on her 14.1hh mare, Sile Na Gig.
It had been a frustrating season as Anna broke her ankle in the first week of the summer holidays.
“She couldn’t ride all summer; the plaster came off the day before school started again,” said her mother, Tricia. “She was determined to do a couple of events before the end of the season.”
Sile Na Gig also turns her hoof to showing; she qualified for the working hunter pony at the Royal International Horse Show this year, but Anna’s injury prevented them from competing.
