A WINNING DISCIPLINE SWITCH

-

NEW BD member Kirstin McMurray was thrilled to head the prelim bronze with Highland pony Trailtrow Texa Beag.

The 11-year-old mare was bred by Kirstin’s mother Gillian McMurray and has enjoyed much success in ridden showing classes, qualifying twice for Olympia and the Horse of the Year Show (HOYS).

Kirstin originally started dressage through My Quest, but then decided to join BD and aim for the Scottish championships, where the duo finished second last month.

“She did a nice obedient test in lovely rhythm. Texa is a fun pony and really enjoys her jumping,” said Kirstin, who is a full-time radiographer at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary.
