AUSTRALIAN event rider Rebecca McCrae told H&H she and her mare Hi Tide “would probably not be here” were it not for MIM clips.
The combination were competing in the CIC2* at Tonimbuk Horse Trials (11 March) when she avoided a potentially catastrophic fall.
“It was the third fence on course and our first start back for the season,” she said. “I struggled to pick up a stride, my mare got quite forward in the last 10m and we ended up chesting the front rail.
“Thank God there were MIM clips fitted — they gave way on the front rail which allowed us to land in one piece and despite being thrown in front of the saddle I managed to finish the course.
“There is no doubt in my mind that had it not been fitted with MIM clips we would have experienced a heavy rotational fall and we would probably not be standing here today.”
