Shetland Bob takes the biscuit

A SHETLAND pony who achieved fame as he lives in his owner’s house caused concern on live television when he started tucking in to the “world’s largest” empire biscuit.

Wee Bob was a guest on Scottish show Live at Five, as was the three-foot, 18kg, baking masterpiece, created for a “jam and ham” food festival.

And while the presenters were otherwise engaged, Wee Bob, who had, perhaps unwisely, been left free in the studio, wandered over to the biscuit and was caught on camera nibbling away at one side.

The 8hh gelding is no stranger to human comforts as he likes to open his owner’s front door, stroll in and sit by the fire in winter.

Apparently, he also enjoys watching television, especially Emmerdale.

But surely the Great British Bake Off would be more his cup of tea — and biscuit?
