INDIAN CHANCE

-

THE son of Indian River was a surprise birthday present for owner Ian Gibson from his wife Suzie.

The seven-year-old (pictured, middle) made his point-topointing debut less than 12 months ago, finishing fifth, and he has progressed with every run since.

He started this season with a second place at Ampton behind Summer Sounds, who boosted his form by winning the restricted at Charing.

Indian Chance, meanwhile, travelled strongly for Shane Roche in the 3m open maiden and stayed on well to hold off the much more experienced Desert Retreat.

With David Phelan’s yard in such good form, it would be no surprise to see Indian Chance quickly rise through the ranks this season.
