MASON DIXON

-

THE seven-year-old son of Presenting was brought over from Ireland five months ago with pretty poor form by trainer Kieran Price, but showed power and stamina here in holding ground to land the open maiden for five-, six- and seven-yearolds impressively.

One of only two finishers, Mason Dixon made all the running alongside eventual runner-up Light Flicker, but it was the former who got his nose in front when it mattered under Brian Moorcroft.

“He’s been going well at home and he’s a very comfortable horse to ride,” said the horse’s owner Georgia Kemeys, who is studying computer forensics at University of south Wales. “He loves soft ground and will do a restricted in a couple of weeks’ time.”
