NEW SERIES FOR YOUNG HORSES
THE Irish Warmblood Foundation hopes to run a new series with an €80,000 (£70,700) prize fund.
The foundation has applied to launch the series this autumn, to the department of agriculture.
It would be open to horses and ponies aged between four and eight, Irish-bred and foreign-bred, subject to eligibility conditions.
There will be five qualifiers and a final, and two sections; one to assess riding horse qualities and a second, optional track to assess jumping ability.
