THE PERFECT HORSE
Sir — I had a chuckle at one of your coverlines (15 February).
Now in my 60s, I haven’t found the perfect horse yet!
There was some good advice in the article, but I suspect the biggest problem for genuine sellers is that a lot of buyers are fairly inexperienced. And I wonder how many are realistic about their riding ability? A good horse can soon be spoilt by the wrong rider.
When I need a new horse, I go to people I have known for years. Their experience with young horses means I get a horse who has been educated properly and I keep them for life.
