MOONPENNY AQUARIUS

The Exmoor gelding Moonpenny Aquarius, a former ridden finalist at HOYS and Olympia, looks to be relishing his new job as a working hunter pony. He won his class and the intermediate section championship with Debbie Barker-Runiewicz, who has him on loan from breeder Mary-Rose Bryant.

“He is the first Exmoor I have had, and I would recommend the breed to anyone,” said Debbie. “This pony can be cheeky — if he thinks he can get away with galloping at a jump, he will. But he is so willing and has done everything we have asked of him.”

Amateur rider Debbie combines her competition schedule with running a livery yard full time.
