Showjumper heads an all-Ireland top five in Bolesworth puissance

SHANE BREEN and Acorad 3 gave a masterclass in jumping the big red wall at Bolesworth on Friday night (15 June).

The combination were the only ones to clear the wall at 2.20m (7’3”), a record for the Cheshire show, in the fifth and final round.

Fellow Irish riders Anthony Condon (Cavalier Rusticana), Mikey Pender (Hearton Du Bois Halleux), Richard Howley (CMS Tallulah) and Paul Kennedy (Luikan Q) all shared second place with four faults each at this height.

“It’s incredible to have five in the final round, so to win with the only clear is very special,” said Shane.
