A NEW CENTRE

Sir — Last year, a friend’s daughter set up a new Pony Club Centre, Annabelle’s Equestrian in Suffolk. Centre membership has been around since 1998 and is designed for children who do not own their own pony, but who can take part in Pony Club activities through their local riding school.

A year down the line, there are 117 members. Over 40 have taken their E test, 36 their D and 80 entered the local Pony Club show. But the highlight was their team winning a competition of more than 30 teams. These children have such fun and it’s all thanks to the efforts of Annabelle Block. Sabina Forwood
